Hello, digital world. I am "taking to the airwaves" to discuss the lessons I've learned during 2013, by far the most difficult year of my life.
On paper, the stats are this: I lost my job of 7 years, seemingly out of spite, in April of last year. I was hurt, stung, and terribly shocked, but I thought (as I'm sure we've all thought at one time or another)..."I've got *mad* skills. No problem. I'll get a job ASAP."
The times....they were a'changin'. I knew that the economics were against me; theoretically, at least. I mean, I heard the news; I knew that it was rough out there. What really threw me for a loop was my conviction that those tough times simply didn't apply to me. After all, I had *mad* skills! The reality of the situation is that I did not get a permanent position until December 30th of 2013.
The blogs that I'm going to post will follow the obstacles I faced with limited financial resources and a creative mind.
Thanks for reading. I hope you enjoy.
